Conditional Sentences
คือประโยคที่มีการแสดงเงื่อนไข หรือสมมุติ
If clause มี 4 แบบ
•ใช้สมมุติเงื่อนไขในปัจจุบัน และอนาคต
รูปแบบ If + Present Simple, Future Simple
Ex. If I study hard right now, I will be a doctor.
•ใช้สมมุติตรงข้ามกับความจริงในปัจจุบัน
รูปแบบ If + Past Simple, would + V.1
Ex. If I were you, I would be rich and happy.
•ใช้สมมุติตรงข้ามกับความจริงในอดีต
รูปแบบ If + Past Perfect, would + have + V.3
Ex. If I had studied hard those days, I would have studied medicine.
•( แบบผสม ) ใช้เมื่อเรื่องที่เกิดขึ้นในอดีตมีผลต่อปัจจุบัน หรือ อนาคต
รูปแบบ If + Past Perfect, would + V.1
Ex. If I had studied hard those days, I would be a doctor today.
